We continued to work on gathering information about our topics in India today using non-fiction books, articles and websites. Tomorrow will be the last day we will be given time in class to answer or research questions. Students who have not used their time wisely have been encouraged to go onto websites from the blog at home and collect information tonight or over the weekend. We will begin to discuss presentation ideas tomorrow and begin to put our presentations together next week.
Today we read more from Mission Mumbai. Today we read about how Dylan and Rohit were going to go visit his bua which in Hindi means father's sister. Rohit and his mother kept giving hints that bua might not be the most pleasant person to see. We heard a bit more about the transportation system in India and how busy the streets are with cars, busses and people. Dylan and Rohit were so warm in the cab that the skin on their legs kept sticking to the seat and making a slurping noise when they moved. We are excited to find out all about Rohit's bua and see what type of person she is.
Reminders:
- Early dismissal tomorrow. Please remember to pack a snack!!
- Spelling test on Monday...practice, practice, practice!
